Sometimes the problem is on the back of the artwork. Before installation, Framer Scott noticed that this client-supplied piece didn’t have hanging fixtures suitable for its weight. Rather than simply hanging it as presented, Scott replaced and correctly positioned the fittings before installation. It’s an important part of professional picture hanging — checking the artwork, its weight, existing hardware and the wall before deciding how it should be safely installed. Little details like these can make a big difference to the security of your artwork and your peace of mind.
