The Wicked Dreams of Paula Schultz is a 1968 Cold War comedy starring Elke Sommer as an East German athlete who escapes to the West by pole-vaulting over the Berlin Wall, where she becomes involved with Bob Crane's American character.
POSTER DESIGN FEATURES: A wonderfully bold late-1960s Australian design with a vivid yellow field, red border and black-and-red typography. A large illustrated image of Elke Sommer dominates the centre, with a playful pole-vaulting silhouette incorporated into the title treatment. The strong yellow/red/black palette gives this Daybill excellent display impact.
COLLECTOR'S NOTE: An interesting crossover collectible for fans of both Elke Sommer and Hogan's Heroes — Bob Crane stars opposite Sommer, while fellow Hogan's Heroes actors Werner Klemperer, John Banner and Leon Askin also appear. The Australian Daybill is particularly attractive for its colourful artwork and distinctly 1960s sex-comedy advertising.
