Released in 1970, Diary of a Mad Housewife was directed and produced by Frank Perry, with Eleanor Perry adapting Sue Kaufman's 1967 novel. Carrie Snodgress stars as Tina Balser, a dissatisfied Manhattan housewife caught between her marriage and an affair with a writer played by Frank Langella.
