Moment by Moment is a 1978 romantic drama starring Lily Tomlin and John Travolta in a May–December romance between a wealthy Beverly Hills woman and a younger drifter. Travolta made the film immediately after the enormous successes of Saturday Night Fever and Grease.

POSTER DESIGN FEATURES: Distinctive Australian Daybill designed around overlapping Polaroid-style photographs of John Travolta and Lily Tomlin. Handwritten captions tell the romance in three stages — “One Summer…”, “a boy met a woman…” and “…and fell in love.” Deep purple and blue tones contrast with the white photographic borders and understated title treatment.

COLLECTOR'S NOTE: A particularly interesting John Travolta poster from the height of “Travolta fever.” Moment by Moment completed his three-film run with producer Robert Stigwood following Saturday Night Fever and Grease. The title song was performed by Yvonne Elliman, who had also recorded the Saturday Night Fever hit “If I Can’t Have You.”
