This vintage print came into our workshop in its original, very old framing, where ageing and acidic materials were no longer providing a suitable environment for the artwork. In this case, the best solution was a complete reframe. The old materials were carefully removed and a new framing package created using professional materials and methods, while the design itself was deliberately kept sympathetic to the original. The result respects the history and character of the piece while giving it a fresh, more considered framing setup for its next chapter.
