Also known internationally as The Red Mantle and originally titled Den røde kappe, Hagbard & Signe is a 1967 Danish-Swedish-Icelandic historical romance telling the tragic medieval legend of Hagbard and Signe, two young lovers caught between feuding families.

POSTER DESIGN FEATURES: Distinctive red-and-white Australian Daybill combining large photographic scenes, a kissing portrait of the young lovers, mounted medieval warriors and prominent contemporary review quotes. The Australian title Hagbard & Signe dominates the centre, while The Red Mantle appears beneath as the alternate title.

COLLECTOR'S NOTE: The film was photographed extensively in Iceland and competed at the 1967 Cannes Film Festival, where it received a Technical Grand Prize special mention. The cast also includes acclaimed Swedish actors Eva Dahlbeck and Gunnar Björnstrand, both strongly associated with the films of Ingmar Bergman.
