The Gay Deceivers is a 1969 American comedy about two young men who pretend to be gay in an attempt to avoid the military draft, only to find themselves having to maintain the deception when their story comes under scrutiny. Its premise and advertising firmly place it within the social and counterculture landscape of late-1960s America.

COLLECTOR'S NOTE: An unusual piece of late-1960s cinema history whose subject matter directly reflects changing attitudes toward sexuality, the Vietnam-era draft and LGBTQ+ representation in mainstream film. The Australian three-colour Daybill has also become specifically recognised by Australian collectors as a desirable variant of the film's original advertising.
