The Spoilers is a 1955 Technicolor Western starring Anne Baxter, Jeff Chandler and Rory Calhoun, set during the Alaskan Gold Rush and centred on miners fighting to protect their claims from corruption and claim-jumping.

POSTER DESIGN FEATURES: Striking minimalist Australian Daybill printed almost entirely in turquoise blue on white, with the enormous The Spoilers title dominating the upper half. Illustrated action artwork of Jeff Chandler and Rory Calhoun fighting appears below the cast names, giving this Australian design a very different appearance from the full-colour international campaign.

COLLECTOR'S NOTE: This was the fifth and final film adaptation of Rex Beach's famous 1906 novel. Earlier versions included the 1930 film starring Gary Cooper and the particularly well-known 1942 adaptation starring John Wayne, Marlene Dietrich and Randolph Scott.
