Au Pair Girls is a 1972 British sex comedy following four young women who arrive in England to work as au pairs, only for their employment to lead to a series of increasingly risqué encounters. It was directed by veteran British filmmaker Val Guest and became part of Britain's highly recognisable 1970s sex-comedy cycle.

POSTER DESIGN FEATURES: A bold Australian exploitation design dominated by a coral-red field with black-and-white photographic portraits of the four female leads arranged inside a geometric diamond. The oversized black title typography and prominent Australian R classification create a stark graphic appearance. Particularly unusual is the blank white rectangular area across the centre of the photographic montage.

COLLECTOR'S NOTE: An interesting piece of Australian censorship history as well as British exploitation cinema. Australian records show that Au Pair Girls was cut by approximately 1 minute 36 seconds to obtain an R rating in September 1972, with Blake Films submitting the film. Contemporary Australian poster research also specifically notes the unexplained white panel appearing across this Daybill design.
