The Seduction of Joe Tynan is a 1979 political drama starring Alan Alda as an ambitious U.S. Senator whose growing political influence places increasing pressure on his marriage and personal principles. Meryl Streep co-stars as political researcher Karen Traynor. The film marked Alda's first feature-film screenplay.
