One small failure can quickly become a much bigger repair. This previously framed piece came into our workshop after its hanging cord broke, causing the frame to fall from the wall and the glass to shatter on impact. Along with replacing the broken glass, the frame and its hanging system can be checked and repaired before the piece goes safely back on display. It’s also a good reminder that ageing hanging cords and hardware are worth checking — particularly on treasured or heavier framed pieces.
