This previously framed piece came into our workshop showing the effects of both age and water damage. The frame, matting and internal materials had deteriorated over time and were ready for some much-needed attention. Frame repair isn't always about replacing an old frame with something new — where practical, we can assess what can be retained, what needs replacing and the best way to give a treasured piece a new lease on life while respecting its original character.
