This previously framed piece came into our workshop after its hanging cord had broken with age. The cord had been stapled directly into the back of the frame — a hanging method we don't use in our own framing. When repairing frames, we use appropriately selected hanging hardware, including securely fitted D-rings and professionally tied cord, chosen to suit the individual frame. It's a small detail hidden at the back, but an important one when it comes to keeping your framed pieces safely and securely on the wall.
