residents of the Mid North Coast and beyond,

What a fun time of year we are in, we start to gather for the festive season. Spending time with family and friends making memories and sharing time together, we love seeing these types of memories get put into frames and on the walls.

Check out this idea one of our team members had, we often hear our clients say they are running out of wall space for family photos, so as a solution to that she thought of the "seasonal gallery".

How does a seasonal gallery work? Its actually really easy and very clever.

1. You have a frame for each season or you could do one for each family member.

2. You pick your favourite memory for that season (or for that persons year) and you bring it in for us to print and put into the frame, and you hang it on the wall something like the below insitu image.

3. Then when it comes around to the next years season (winter, spring, summer or autumn ) or each birthday if your doing it per person you email us your new photo for that season or person, drop in your frame and we print up the image and refit it into your existing frame.

That way you get to have beautiful memories on your wall, it freshens your decor up and the kids get reminded of the good times (because lets be real, they sometimes forget how good life is when they are being told to take out the rubbish or clean their room ;) ).

What happens to the photos each season? Well our suggestion is that you keep them in the back of the frame, then when your child reaches a certain age you can gift it to them as a time capsule of their life to that point, you could say it becomes an analogue highlights reel. A collection of images that they can then create a collage wall of their own with or they could be put into a dry mount album to again create a momento for the family.

The Spring Show has been sensational, it was so good to be able to have a proper opening again.

We had a photo wall set up and loads of fun was had with it as you can see above and below.

Thats quite the list dont you agree? It really would be great if you pop into the gallery and have a look at what is in the exhibition, it is one way you can show support of the local arts, and you never know you might find a treasure to take home.

We also have a number of permanent artists with mini displays of handcrafted wares that are perfect for gifts. Here are a few photos of some of the handcrafted wares to give you a sense of what you might find.

As always the vibe is chilled and retro in the main gallery, Saturday mornings are a generally a bustle of framing clients and art guests, the music is beating from our original retro record player and the tunes are upbeat as we enjoy the weekend vibes.

We had another wonderful opening with the Drawn From Here Project opening up last weekend here is a few moments from the opening.

It is a wonderful exhibition of 32 art journals all completed by different artists with a variety of mediums, styles, skills and content. We invite you to come in, look at the journals and explore the artists exploration. You can even make your own page and leave it with us to go into the community journal that will form part of the journal library here in the gallery.
